Kristin is a board-certified Adult-Geriatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner with nearly two decades of experience in healthcare, specializing in family medicine, women’s health, cardiology, and functional medicine. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Monmouth University, where she specialized as an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seton Hall University, graduating with honors. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a specialization in Molecular Cell Physiology, receiving several academic honors, including the Sigma Xi Biological Honors Award.

Kristin spent the first ten years of her career practicing cardiology in New York City and New Jersey before relocating to North Carolina in 2016. It was during this time, after navigating personal challenges with her daughter’s health, that she transitioned into integrative and functional medicine—a shift that ignited her passion for personalized, holistic healthcare. As an Institute of Functional Medicine Certified Provider, Kristin approaches each patient with a focus on addressing the root cause of illness, offering comprehensive care for conditions such as thyroid disease, gut health, autoimmune disease, diabetes management, cardiac risk stratification, and toxin exposure.

On a personal note, Kristin lives with Celiac Disease and Hashimoto’s Disease—conditions she shares with one of her children. This personal health journey has profoundly shaped her approach to wellness, guiding how she cares for both her family and her patients. Married to her high school sweetheart, Kristin and her husband are raising three children and three dogs. In her free time, she enjoys paddleboarding, weightlifting, Pilates, yoga, and traveling, though much of her schedule is spent at youth travel ice hockey, volleyball, and soccer tournaments.
