MICRONEEDLING PRE- AND POST- PROCEDURE INSTRUCTIONS

Pre-treatment Recommendations

● Do not use any retinoid products or applications 48 hours prior to your treatment. ● Do not expose yourself to prolonged sun exposure (i.e.: 4 hours) 24hrs prior to your treatment. A SkinStylus treatment will not be administered on sunburned or windburned skin. ● On the day of the treatment, please keep the treatment area clean. ● If you have previously suffered from facial cold sores, there is a risk that the needle punctures could contribute to another outbreak of cold sores. Please let us know so you can be prescribed antiviral medication prior to treatment.

Post Treatment Recommendations

● Keep the skin clean and avoid touching the treatment area.  ● Do NOT use any Alpha Hydroxy Acids, Beta Hydroxy Acid, Retinoids (Vitamin A), Vitamin C (in a low pH formula) or anything perceived as ‘active’ skincare for at least 4 days post treatment.  ● Avoid direct sunlight to the treatment area for 24 hours. No tanning beds.  ● Do not go swimming for at least 24 hours.  ● No exercising or strenuous activity for the first 24 hours post-treatment.
** Be sure to report to your provider any redness and/or visible swelling that lasts for more than a few days or any other symptoms that cause you concern.
